👤I play this game with kids who are a variety of ages and cognitive levels. "turns" are used as rewards for completing tasks. The game play is to spin a spinner and try to collect as many carrots as you can from a small basket. You use a plastic rabbit to pull the carrot out of the box. The spinner has other spots, such as stealing one from another player, losing all your carrots, and losing a turn. It is similar to Hi Ho Cherry O, but you only need 4 items to steal. Kids in the 6-9 age range really like the game and can understand the pictures of "lose a turn" or "steal a carrot from another player" Some younger kids do not. They can be frustrated with the "steal" space and the "lose all your carrots" I think it's important for kids to understand that losing is more important than winning. I made a spinner with only 6 spots, 4 colors, a rainbow and a "spin again." It's not a sure thing with each spin, but it does reduce the frustration of losing all of your carrots and reduces say 2 children stealing from the same other child. I colored a new face on an old spinner that I had around and used it to spin. You could use a blank die and put the colors and 2 icons for rainbow and a "spin again" (I used the swirl just like on the original spinner.) They like the idea of the rabbit picking up the pieces. I haven't had anyone aged 4 and up who couldn't figure out how to manipulate it, even though some have a little trouble initially. The basket had one of the handles break off. The kids like to play with them and put their carrots in and out. They try to fit the rabbit paws into another person's basket, which doesn't really work, you just have to pick one out with your fingers. I used super glue to fix the handle. It is a simple game that young children can understand. I suppose you could modify that with a different spinner or even a drawing card if you wanted, but there is no reading involved. The cute bunny and carrots are the draw of the game. They seem to enjoy stealing from another player by the age of 7. Some will laugh at these jokes and be able to figure out who has the color they want. I will usually say something like "Oh, that bad bunny is stealing" so another student will blame the bunny not the person. I know my students. If I know a student will be upset or angry about the spinner, I won't use it. The kids like the game and will ask to play it frequently. It would be a cute little spring or Easter game for home use. Older kids will probably not want to play it for hours, but they still enjoy it a few times in a row.
The gift for preschool children is a gift. The Disney Princess Edition game is a great birthday or holiday gift for girls and boys. It is a fun activity for kids of all ages. The game is fun. You can choose yellow or red discs. For two players. You win when you get 4 discs in a row. Includes grid, 2 legs, and a bar.
👤We love this game. The world has become used to cheap products. If we want affordable products, we have to pay this price. If you're looking for a sturdy game that you could play when you were a kid, this one is not for you. The rack is flimsy and made of thin plastic, but the discs work, even though they don't have that heavy checker weight. This game feels different for people who are nostalgic. It's nice to remember some of the differences from when we were kids, even though our kids don't know the difference.
👤Growing up, our daughter was a huge fan of the game. She and her dad played a game of it almost every night. Our daughter now has kids of her own and it is time to continue the tradition of playing this game. We ordered it at Christmastime and are looking forward to playing it with the children. Our grandson is very excited to play it, even though it was set aside. He was ready for his next visit. It looks the same as it did back then. There is a lot of fun to be had here. Looking forward to many years of making new and wonderful memories with the grandchildren.
👤I bought a bunch of board games to play with the family at home because of the virus. I remember this game from my youth. I remember playing this with my brother and friends for hours. I remember being really good. I remember wrong. My 14 year old son spank me 5 times in a row before declaring playing with me was too easy and that I should try playing with my 6 year old nephew first for practice. I pretended to laugh as my nephew climbed into my son's lap and then proceeded to win 4 out of 5 games with no coaching from my son. I decided to retire after I won the last game. I have hidden the game and am playing online until I can kick their butt. I will let you know how that goes.
👤Anyone can play it. It is ready to leave the box. You can play for a while. Losing a disc isn't the end of the world. Kids can still play with each other. This is a must have for the toy closet. I was worried that a new toy like this might be less expensive than the older ones, but I was happy to see that it is durable enough for a child to play with.
👤This one was the biggest hit of them all. She beat the pants off of me but had a great time doing it. Your little grandsons are good at playing games. My granddaughter can beat my butt on the game. After beating me many times, she admitted that one of her pre-school teachers had taught her how to win the game and that she tried to teach me some of her tricks. It's a good thing. I love the little children.
Eye Found is a great game for kids and adults to play together. It takes 15 minutes to play and 5 minutes to teach. The game is ideal for on-the-go moments. There are board and card games in this category. The group is targeted for people of all ages. 3 years and above
👤The game was wonderful. We were not sure how to play. This is a game that requires you to read the instructions to understand how the game works and not just figure out the rules on your own. It is so much fun when we read the instructions. My 2 year old loves this game and understands the rules. The Disney theme is a perk and these cards are printed with so much detail. Many of the negative reviews I read are because people don't know how to play or read the rules. The point of the game is not to find each item on each card. My 2 year old is so good at this game that he finds the most intricate details, and we have played it with many of our adult friends. It is easy to travel with and keep the kids entertained for hours, just read the rules and enjoy the game, don't try to figure it out or make up your own rules.
👤This is a great game for education. You can work on vocabulary by covering up the name on the object card and having the child say it. You can cover up the image on the object card and have the child read it. If you cover up some of the words themselves, you can force kids to work on their spelling. "kets", then uncover more "askets", then the whole word "baskets". You can teach robust describing skills by making the kids play without using their hands, meaning they have to describe to you the location instead of pointing to it. There is lots of learning for an inexpensive game. It's a big hit with my kids. I don't like one tiny thing about it. You might not remember, but the native Americans in Peter Pan were represented in a racist way. There is a song called "What makes the red man red?" The brothers are trying to hunt the natives. The words they're chanting aren't part of any language at all. They are portrayed as savages, unintelligent and have red skin. There's a card in this with the deeply inaccurate chieftain in all his glory, complete with the red skin in this deck of cards. Disney doesn't see the problem with race that the film had. That's disappointing. I'm not sure what to do with the card. I want to throw it away. I want to use it to educate kids about racism. We will see what I do. The rest of the game is great and I would recommend it. I wanted others to know that the card is in there so that they can address it as they see fit.
👤My 3 year old knows how to play the little puzzles that are in the real game.
👤I bought this for my niece and nephew as we were leaving for a family trip that would last 30 hours and they didn't need a battery. This was delivered and then some. There are high-level notes. Kids like Disney 2. Key 3 is the simplicity of the game. There are no small pieces to lose. Kids still enjoy staring at the cards even when they don't play the game. The directions help clarify a bit of the confusion surrounding some of the items that the cards name are not the easiest to find. Feel free to ignore the preset rules and just go back to the basics of "I-Spy" at the end of the day. Rather than spending a long flight trying to point out random things on a plane that don't change, you can shuffle through a deck of cards with all of your favorite Disney characters and spend a lot of time guessing at playful/beloved scenes! It made for a nice break from staring into screens for the nieces, who had a great time pulling this out.
Wonder Forge has consistently offered top-quality experiences since it was launched in 2007, raising the bar for preschool and family games everywhere. The titles celebrate the can do attitude of all kids. The family games help bridge generation gaps. The game includes a game board, 4 moving bases, 1 spinner, 10 magnifying glass, 6 food tiles, 30 goldbug cards, and instructions. Eye Found is a fun play experience that makes a great gift for kids and families. It's a game for preschoolers where you race across Busytown on a game board that's more than 6 feet long. The game is easy to learn with clear instructions. You can race across Busytown over and over again, and have a new experience each time. Eye Found It develops critical skills such as teamwork, attention to detail, and object identification and matching skills. Kids have fun when they say, "I found it!"
👤I thought this would be a game that would be hard to miss. It seems to have been missed in our household. There are a few major flaws with this game that I didn't see discussed in any of the reviews I read. Everyone is playing a game in which they spin a spinner. If you remove the food from the picnic blanket, the game is over, or if you turn over a goldbug card, it tells you how many spaces to move. Each Goldbug card has a picture and a corresponding word on it. You have a short time to find that item on the game board. Everyone moves forward based on how many items were found. Everyone moves the same number, which is supposed to create cooperation. Negatives are 1. The board is easy to memorize. My kids have learned where the items are on the board after playing this game a few times. It is not much of a look-and- find after the first few times you play it. 2. My kids always make this a competition about who can find more items, even though the game is supposed to be about co-operation. I can't imagine my kids are the only ones who are competitive about something like this. They argue more during this game than almost any other board game. Positives: 1. The game can be played by all ages. This game is loved by many, but it isn't perfect and won't work in every household. It worked for so many people that it may still be worth a try.
👤It was a terrible disappointment. I bought this version because I thought it would be even better with the Disney theme. I was wrong. The game board has too many spaces and it takes a long time to complete before the clock strikes midnight. We have never won this game. The pictures on the board are very small. Minuscule. We lose the fun when we look away from the board to try to figure out what is in the pictures. Save money. Don't buy Busytown. Busytown is fun for all ages. The drawings are good.
👤Who wouldn't like Disney figures? The appearance of the game at the first sight made my kids fall in love with it. 5 stars for the design of the game rules. The game is similar to BusyTown, but it requires a longer path to the castle. It ties the story to the game very well. The clock strikes 12 and players need to arrive at the castle. The amount of objects to be found is limited and the design of the game elements received 3 stars. The players spin on the Mickey. 2 stars for the design. The objects to be found are very small. The printed images are not sharp. A good game for children challenges their skills as well as promote success. The longer path to the castle and the difficulty to spot the items on the board make the game less successful. When the kids were presented with the choice of Disney Eye Found It or BusyTown, they initially chose the Disney version, but after a couple of times playing the Disney one, they have switched to BusyTown.
Toddler time. A great game for little ones. Toddler scavenger hunt cards have easy to answer questions and prompt to guide your toddler. Playing with the cards increases toddlers' confidence and encourages them to explore the world around them. Spending one-on-one time with your child is a great way to deepen your bond. Is it rainy day? No problem! The easy-to-use cards give toddlers the tools to discover everyday objects in their home and provide you and your child with an exciting at- home activity. Toddler scavenger Hunt cards feature the artwork of Marion Billet. Her bright colors are popular in children's products. There are many items found around the home featured in the cards. The concepts of colors, size, and texture are covered. Measures 3.5 inches across. The Toddler scavenger Hunt cards are attached to a sturdy plastic ring and can be used in a purse, diaper bag, or backpack for on-the-go fun and learning. It's easy to clean and wipe cards.
👤The 2 year old is obsessed. Always asks to play a game. We play the game and he thinks really hard, then he says "come on mom" and runs me through the house to find the object. Highly recommended from a mom.
👤The kids liked following directions. Sometimes you act out a suggestion or find a specific item and use it in a certain way. It was fun and silly to play with all ages.
👤Such a fun idea! I was glad to find this. The 2.5 year old grandson loves running around the house. They are regular everyday items that kids will recognize and be able to locate around their house easily. I suggested this game to a friend for her 3 and 6 year old kids and she made the purchase and it was a hit with her kids as well. They are the perfect size for little hands.
👤Our granddaughter loves to be given tasks and this game is perfect for her. Simple cards. Can you find a pair of socks? Can you find something blue? I would be happy to buy a gift for a shower or birthday.
👤This is a fun game. My 3 year old loves it. He has a speech delay and this game has helped him learn new words. I don't have to worry about losing pieces because it's all on one ring. The cards are sturdy and will be in good shape when my son is ready to play.
👤It was a great game to play together. As we play this game, he gets a glimpse of accomplishment and excitement. He's happy to find a door, mirror, or something with polka dots. Both of us love it!
👤There are many ways to play with your toddler. To model how to play and to engage toddlers, "race" in the direction of the card. The cards are a great place to start with ideas. The game is easy to teach to toddlers as young as 18 months. It's a great gift idea.
👤Older children can play with toddlers. It's fun for all groups.
This is a fast paced game that improves your child's hand-eye coordination, strengthens fine motor skill, and keeps kids away from electronics. This addictively fun strategy game is called the Island of CATAN and was previously called the Settlers of CATAN. The players control their own civilization and look to spread across a modular board in a competition for victory points. There is a fun game with multiple replay options. The completely variable board has great value. You won't have to play the same game twice. Are you looking for new adventures? The base game to play is CATAN. Whether you play as a family, a board game group, or via video conference as you stay at home, CATAN is a social game that provides plenty of opportunities for player interaction. You might even find yourself in the world of CATAN tournaments. There are minutes to learn and a lifetime to explore. The basics of CATAN can be learned in a few minutes, but it offers a lot more than that as you explore strategies and tactics for years to come. There are a number of players and average play time. The board game can be played with 3 or 4 people. The CATAN extension packs are separate items. 60 minutes is the average playtime.
👤The base game is this one. I can't emphasize it enough. The base game is the only review that will handle it. LEARNING CURVES: The game is very easy to learn. It makes a lot of sense and opens doors to more complex rules. 1-2 hours for 4 players. The game moves quickly but with obvious stages that each have their own strategies and approaches. If you take a break, the game can easily be resumed. Catan is more satisfying to win than to play. Catan rewards long-term foresight and strategies more than rushed or brute-forced techniques, as a game best played with a poker face and a good set of bluffing skills. Catan can become repetitive. If you refuse to play randomly. If you have a few games under your belt, I highly recommend you learn to randomize the map, starting positions, and resources for more satisfying experiences. Is it possible to improve the lives of children? It depends on your child. Children with a knack for puzzles and strategy games will enjoy playing Catan with adults. Too many "honor system" concepts in play, too easy to cheat each other, are probably too complex for children to play with each other. Is it possible to improve for special needs? Adults and children with special needs can enjoy the game. The game rules are easy to modify. There are online communities for adapting Catan. Conclusions: Catan is an easy game to pick up and learn, but complex and difficult to master. The base game is the first step in the world of Catan and should be expanded and enhanced.
👤Don't purchase from a third party seller. Ever. I bought two copies. There are two from Amazon and one from a third party. A third party copy was seven dollars cheaper. That's because it's an illegal copy. What a copy it is. It is almost perfect. The photographs attached are from apirate copy, and they have spellings all over the back of the box like 'No two games the same'. The colors are not the same. The copy was missing a white road and contained twice as many orange road pieces as it was supposed to. The pieces were not smooth. The works, promotional material, and stickers were not contained in the pirate copy. Very deceptive.
👤Beware! Don't try this unless you have a plan to get addicted. Your life will be changed forever. You will find yourself begging people to come and play. You can bribe your children by watching videos on the internet. Your spouse will be a tricky person. You will plot ways to take over. Side effects include less tv watching, more under the table kicking, manical laughter, snacking, and scheming the demise of your friends and family. You had the best time!
👤This is a great introduction to games other than the class hasbro and Milton Bradly set. You have to worry about getting counterfeit versions of the game even if you get it directly from Amazon. It was obvious that the game was made in the United States of America, which was a poor attempt at saying so. The legit version had a flag on it, but it was not a US flag.
Includes grid, 2 legs, and a bar. Children are taught to play together and have fun at the same time.
👤I bought this for my daughter because I have fond memories of my own pretty princess game when I was a kid. The crown is a cheap plastic tiara that is attached to a headband, and it has no jewelry box so pieces aren't contained in the game box. The black ring in my original game felt more sinister because it had a slightly different shape than the other rings. The rings are the same, except for the color. If I didn't know what the game used to be, I would have loved it, but I was disappointed in the changes since my childhood. My daughter loves it just as much as I did when I was little.
👤I bought this game for my 4 year old daughter because she was my absolute favorite game growing up. She plays this game daily. The board has already broken after less than a month because it is not the same game I grew up with. The original game had a case to store jewelry, a mirror on the lid, and you could store the crown around the outside of it, but there is no case anymore. The earrings are not good and the little clip falls off multiple times. It's awful. The game is the same.
👤My kids were excited for this because I want to return it. Two pairs of earrings broke when they were opened for the first time. I have to put tape around them while I play. They don't make this game like they used to. The material isn't durable at all. I would love to return this purchase. Don't buy it and save your money. Your better off making your own. It doesn't come with the blue case that it used to.
👤Every earring broke. I have fixed them many times and some have permanently broken. Not worth it. I don't recommend buying this jewelry because it is poor quality. This game is not as good as the original game from the 90s. The plastic is cheap and the earrings broke after use. The earring clips broke. It does pop back in, but it is very disappointing. It seems like the crown won't last long. My daughter loves it so we will keep it. I would not spend more than $5 on this. Is it a good idea to recommend it? If it is $5, yes. Don't waste your money if it's more.
👤Were you a fan of the 90s board game, wanting to relive the good ol' days of little princesses? Do not buy. Poorly made and not the same! I have a game that my niece fell in love with and I still have it. When I saw it was available, I thought I had scored. When I gave it to my niece, the disappointment of broken jewelry pieces and not being able to look at herself in the mirror was a huge let down. The crown that comes with the game is a joke.
Matching is a great game for kids and adults to play together. It takes 15 minutes to play. The connect 4 game has a different twist on it that kids and adults love. There is a blue blocker disc. The blue Blocker Disc opens doors to new strategies. Get 4 in a row is a game where players try to get 4 of the same color in a row. The connect 4 game is a fun strategy game that you can play with your kids.
👤It's perfect for couples who can't afford a mediation. We keep this game locked and loaded for rapid rounds when we can't agree on where to eat or who to take out the trash. Add a bit of fun to your life and you'll be able to duke it out over some connect four! It's easy to use, fun to play, like 5x above rock paper scissors or tic tac toe. Invest in your relationship.
👤It's a winner for the young, the little bit older, and the grownups. The really small ones like dropping the colored discs into patterns and then releasing them from the bottom. It was fun. A little older kids will be getting the idea of putting four discs in a row while learning basic math. There is some fun and learning at that age. The grownups should enjoy the game as they attempt to connect four in a row before their opponent does. The setup is quick. The game is over if you slip on the two legs. If you found the review helpful, please click theHelpful button. Thank you! While the grownups here have enjoyed this game for a long time, our recent experiences have been from watching two-year-old and her four-year-old brother play. It is a winner at our house.
👤I've been a connect four person for years. I had to buy a new board after breaking my last one. I have not used the blue chips in this set. I tend to follow the rules of the game. I'm old-fashioned. Maybe one day we'll break them out. It's an interesting concept, but we're not sure if we're ready for it. The board is made of plastic. The chips are strong. This board has been with us for a long time.
👤My family played a game called Connect Four. The game is a bit better constructed than the one I played as a kid. My 6 and 10 year old twins and 10 year old grandkids enjoy competing in this game to see who is the most clever for the day. It is easy to store in the game box. My game closet has been filled with Connect Four for 30 years. I bought this to replace my love-worn game. I hope this review helps convince you that this is a good investment for decades of family fun. It is a two-player game, but we play it tournament style so all can play when more than 2 want to compete. If you don't lose the checkers. You will love this game in the future.
👤The game is very flimsy. It's missing a feature that keeps the chips from rolling when you clear the game. Would have spent a lot more.
👤It has been fun for my kids to play with this. This game has been around for a long time. It is the next level after tic-tac-toe. It helps the kids learn how to play a game. It is easy to carry and assembled by the children. The catch all of "fall all" clip at the bottom is easy to manipulate by young hands, so they can fill the grid with their own token for fun. When my kids get distracted by their kitchen set, the token double up as "money" or "pepperoni" for their pizza. The kids are enjoying the game one year on, but we haven't changed it yet. So far, so good.
There are a number of players and average play time. Spot it! The average playtime is 10 minutes. Encourages cooperation. It builds observation skills and attention to detail. Reinforces object identification and matching skills.
👤My children and adults love this game. We play all of the Disney and Dreamworks versions. Check out my reviews on those other two. This game is a family favorite because it is fun for all ages and is still enjoyable for older children, unlike other games such as Candy Land or High Ho Cherry O. The board is large. If my husband lays next to it, it's as tall as he is. We usually break it in thirds and put it side by side to form a large rectangular shape in the middle of our table, instead of keeping it in the long thin line on the floor. The game is easy to play for any age group, as long as the child can count to 12. My toddler daughter played it before she could count on her own, and we helped her with the counting of spaces when moving her pawn. She was able to learn what she didn't know about certain objects when she participated in the finding of objects. It is fun to search for hidden objects and see who can find the most. The game is played as a team with all players, unlike the other two versions of the game. The character cards are another difference. Each player can pick a character card that has a power that can be used to their advantage during the game. Sometimes we don't bother with these at all. It is nearly impossible to memorize the location of certain objects because the board is so large. I would recommend this game to anyone with children of any age. My toddler likes the Disney Eye Found It game.
👤We love the Disney Eye Found It game. I play it with my kids all the time, so I thought I would get a new version to change things up a bit. Journey Through Time is just as enjoyable, but a bit different from the norm. The rest of the game is pretty much the same as the one everyone shares. My 5 year old son enjoyed being on a time machine and traveling through different periods of time. I prefer the Disney Eye Found It over this one, but it is still a lot of fun and we play it a lot, no regrets in buying this game.
👤The games for young children don't usually have long directions with a bunch of small pieces. My daughter didn't like the game because it was very confusing and complicated. I think this is appropriate for young children. She didn't like it, and it's too bad because it was a birthday gift that she just threw on the shelf and will never play again.
👤This is a great game for all ages. If we win we all win, if we lose we all lose. Great for teaching kids how to lose.
👤We bought this for our grandson. His siblings are young. I was happy that they were able to play without a lot of support for the younger ones. They all liked it.
There are differences between packaging color and packaging labeling. The same contents are within. Kids love playing the easy-to-Learn games. Playfully teaches logic and counting. Colorful designs. Adaptable for any child. If the quality guarentee is not good, contact the manufacturer.
👤I don't buy new products often because my shelves are full. I bought this game for my youngest. We use it in many ways. It's often put in my bag for doctor appointments. There are so many different ways to use the game. There is a website for the game that has many suggestions. There is a I only gave this game four stars because of a few reasons. 1. I wish the cards were thicker. 2. I would like to see a set of cards with the numbers spelled out in words. The two improvements would make the game better, but they are not a deal breaker. Get the game. It's worth it!
👤I teach in a Montessori preschool. I love this product. I use the number cards to make sure that a child can identify the numbers and place them in the correct order. I start with a set of cards for a young student. My more advanced students are able to use all the sets. The game is very good. The cards are sturdy. The bright and colorful cards make this work fun for the child. I plan to use this set for a long time. This is a great purchase for my classroom.
👤Awesome game! We love it here at Endless Learning.
👤This game is a great way to teach kids number sense. It is connected to what kids are most likely learning in school and is well-made. It's simplicity is what makes it so good. Your kids are 3-6 so play this game with them. Help them move from counting all the dots on a card to grouping them and putting numbers together. I was playing with a young girl who saw a card with 6 on it and said "6" right away. This is the type of thinking you want your kids to do. There are 16 variations of the game. They could change the level with the use of numbers 0-5 or 0-10. I can't say enough good things. If you want your kids to be flexible mathematicians, buy this!
👤I was worried that my 3 yo would not be up for the game, but we just sat and played for two hours. Sorting by color and putting numbers in order is a game. This deck is very nice. Good quality and beautiful colors. Looking forward to many years of math fun.
👤We love the game. A child who is struggling in math was drawn to it and played it over and over again. I like the variety of games you can play with this box. I think you can make your own. I think this is a great game that can be used as a teaching tool. Highly recommended.
👤Get it! My 4 year old has shown little interest in board games or puzzles that are educational. He loved it when we took it out of the box. For the price and age range, I haven't found a game I like more. It is small enough to take along. Happy!
Measures 3.5 inches across. The Toddler scavenger Hunt cards are attached to a sturdy plastic ring and can be used in a purse, diaper bag, or backpack for on-the-go fun and learning. It's easy to clean and wipe cards. The best-selling pre-school game has been running for five years. This board game for kids helps develop matching skills, strategic thinking, turn-taking, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills. There is a strategy game. Your forest friends need your help. The toddler board game is designed to teach young children about colors. It's easy to understand and play. The box is easy to setup and clean. How to play a game. Pick up the acorn with the Squirrel Squeezer and put it in your log. The first person to collect 5 acorns wins. Also included: A colorful game board, Squirrel Squeezer, 20 colored acorns, 1 game spinner, 4 logs, and an instruction guide are included. The Educational Insights Brand Store has more science and math toys for kids.
👤The age group that does not handle multiple bad things well is toddlers and preschoolers, which is my main problem with this. Three of the 10 options on the wheel that tell you what to do on your turn will make a kid sad and one of them will cause you to start over again. It goes over well with a toddler. It's good to have at least one bad outcome because it helps kids realize that things can go wrong. The start over option and one official miss-your-turn option make it more likely that your child will skip multiple turns if the game goes on for too long. You can make your own rules and ignore anything that is not nice. It's a toy for your kids to do whatever they want with. My kids enjoy the cute acorns and putting them in the holes with or without the game, and it does help with learning colors, so it wasn't a total waste. I don't think it's a good game for the intended audience.
👤My evaluation is based on the price that I got this for. The game pieces are cute, and I think it is a good introduction to colors and motor kills. My toddler loves snacky squirrel and uses him as a toy. The game is a little too basic and I am not happy with the whole idea of stealing from your sibling. It seems there should be a better way to have fun, that doesn't involve teaching that it's okay to take from others pockets in order to get ahead. I would probably have passed on that part of the game.
👤Excellent game for a young child. I am an OT and love this game. The game has "tongs" in it. I buy this for a child who is 2 years old. It's usually their first game. The game holds up over time. You can have a play with a young child and still be entertained. It is similar to a "Hi-Ho-Cheerio" but is better because it helps develop the muscles of the hand needed for coloring, writing, and feeding.
👤This game is boring for my grandson who just turned four years old, because it is too simple. It may be better for a three-year-old. There isn't much of a game to it. You spin the wheel and pick up acorn that matches the color on the wheel and put it in a tree. Whoever fills the five spaces in your tree first is the winner. I think it's a good game to teach a younger child how to play, like how to take turns, skip a turn, and spin a wheel. We will put this game away for a few years, and introduce it to my younger grandchild earlier than four years old. It's a cute game, but not suited to a four year old or a seven year old.
👤The game is great for teaching kids colors and numbers. When the spinner lands on the bandit, there is a little bit of strategy to be had in deciding who to steal an acorn from. The game consists of a log and colored rings. The goal of the game is for you to fill your log with one of the colors of acorn. A spinning wheel tells you what color acorn you can choose from, a wild spot where you can choose 2 acorn, or a storm that blows acorn. The game comes with a set of squirrel-shaped "tweezers" to pick up the food. If you are using them, you will need a lot of patients as the kids struggle to pick up acorns and place them before passing the squirrel to the next player. This is a competitive game. If you are playing with kids that are competitive, you may find the game getting heated as the kids steal or blow away the acorns. This makes for a great teaching opportunity, as the acorns are small and rubber. Smaller kids who put things in their mouths are at risk of a choking hazard. Our 2-year-old loves playing this game. We had to watch him to make sure he wasn't chewing on the food.
